The Marquis de Jouennes d’Herville family, who are now in their 5th generation, made the decision to begin producing and bottling the wines from the domaine in 1934. Today the Chateau is run by Bertrand Devillard, who carries on the work and legacy to extend the domaine to the best terroirs of Mercurey covering over 95 acres, of which 38 of them are located amongst the most established, and renowned Premiers Crus of the appellation.
