Technical Details

The make up of this wine is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. It is vinified in equal parts cement and oak and aged in a mix of 50% new oak, 35% amphora and 15% once used barrels. The wines are left to mature for 16 months. The philosophy at Pontet Canet is to let things happen as naturally as possible in the vineyard and winery. They use natural yeasts and maceration lasts four weeks on average.
