SPRING SELECTION: Enjoy Faiveley’s classic White Burgundy, a great match for an Easter meal, or Domaine Jean Defaix’s crisp, refreshing Chablis. Try Andrea and Dario Pieropan’s benchmark Soave Classico, from the hillsides near Verona, it’s a fresh, lemony wine with plenty of gentle flavour. Enjoy Domaine de la Quilla’s Muscadet ‘sur lie’, aged in cellar for six months to give a subtle peaches and cream complexity alongside the zippy citrus acidity, this is a great food match with seafood, and will balance a hearty fish and chips dinner perfectly! The final two are both from New Zealand: Corofin’s dry Sauvignon Blanc, a little more restrained compared to some New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs to match food well, and finally, from iconic producer Kumeu River, their Coddington Chardonnay, a great comparison with the Burgundy and Chablis.
