Deep ruby red in colour with notes of fresh red fruits and spice on the nose. This wine is a pleasure to drink thanks to its smooth, fruity attack and delicate, silky tannins. This well-balanced and intensely aromatic wine will win over wine experts and amateurs alike.
Erwan and Eve Faiveley manage their family business in Burgundy. It was founded in 1825 and has grown to be one of the largest in this area. They make delicious wines from their own vineyards and as a negociant, i.e. a merchant who buys other grapegrowers’ grapes too (try their excellent value white and red Burgundy from our website). Mercurey isn’t as famous as Vosne-Romanee and some other vineyards from Burgundy, but the reds are very good indeed; whereas the top wines from elsewhere can fetch hundreds of pounds a bottle, Mercurey is sensibly priced, for the moment! 13% ABV.
