Description
This excellent sparkling wine is made by Corinne Seely and Fred Langdale, from Exton Park’s vineyards in Hampshire’s South Downs national park. It is another excellent addition to the recent rise of superb English wines. Made from Pinot Noir (60%) and Chardonnay (40%), this is uniquely English in style with a lovely apple and citrus freshness, while made in a similar way to Champagne ie long ageing of 3 years to encourage an attractive, brioche note too. RB 32 refers to the number of different parcels and wines that are blended together to make the wine, giving a fascinating flavour and freshness. This is an elegant, delicate, fine fizz, a well structured wine which demonstrates why English Sparkling wines are held in such high regard. The citrus notes pair well with both sweet and savoury dishes; try with smoked salmon canapes or starters (we particularly enjoyed this with a light Victoria sponge cake!). 11.5% ABV.
