Along with Jaboulet, the name Guigal is synonymous with great Rhone wines. Both are sizeable companies with an HQ in the northern part of the Rhone valley, making a range of wines including excellent Cotes du Rhone. At the top quality level, Jaboulet specialises in Hermitage and Crozes-Hermitage, while Guigal focusses on Cote Rotie (a red wine vineyard) and Condrieu (white wine) near the town of Ampuis, a short journey from Lyon. 14.5%ABV
Condrieu is the home of the Viognier grape and this flavourful, rich, scented white creates a wine which is hard to replicate. With notes of apricot, and peach with a powerful yet delicate nose and mouthfeel – Guigal’s is one of the very best!
