La Giustiniana ‘Lugarara’ Gavi di Gavi 2018 HALF (37.5cl)

White, Piemonte, Italy

In stock

Always a fan of this wonderfully fresh white wine, I happened to taste it recently at a friend’s 40th birthday dinner. It was perfect for the occasion, and matched our fish starter without overpowering it. It’s not a rich or overtly fruity wine; it’s understated and citrussy, with a savoury element that adds interest. An excuse wasn’t really needed, but in any case we bought some immediately for the website! The grape variety is Cortese and the wine was made by Cristian Pomo in the Gavi area within Piemonte, Northern Italy.
