Description
Schlumberger are a pioneering Organic producer, one of the largest estates in the region, run by Severine Schlumberger. This is a fruity Pinot Gris from the Alsace region of France, to the west of the border with Germany, close to Strasbourg. Pinot Gris is the same grape as Pinot Grigio; when grown in Alsace it’s called Pinot Gris and has more body and flavour than Italian Pinot Grigio, and a different texture, which can divide opinion! The region is famous for its gastronomy, this wine in particular is a great food match. Aromas of pear, apple and jasmine lead on to a full-bodied, fruity palate. With a rich, almost viscous texture that matches pate, game or spicy foods such as curries, especially made with coconut or cream, when it really comes into its own! 13.5% ABV.
