Description

A truly delicious Champagne from Veuve Forney, in the Cotes de Blancs region of  Champagne, using only Premier Cru vineyards and made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. This elegant, precise, refreshing style and citrus fruit character. Easily a match for the great Champagnes!

TASTING NOTE: A soft white-gold colour with fine bubbles. On the nose: Expressive, with citrus and orchard fruits, such as lemon, grapefruit, and red apple. Plus, floral aromas of white flowers, and a brioche note. On the palate: Refreshing with medium to high acidity, medium body and intense fruit flavour which provides a richness to balance the acidity. There is a mouth-wateringly fresh, almost saline, juicy dry finish. 12% alcohol by volume.

FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: We would suggest trying this Champagne with fresh seafood dishes such as a Lobster Thermidor for something extra rich and special, or try with a roasted vegetable quiche. This is also great to just enjoy on its own as an aperitif or to celebrate. It’s ready to drink now and will continue to drink and develop wonderfully well into 2025.

ABOUT: Founded in 1856 by Albert Fourny along with his son Roger. together planting vines in the Vertus Premier Cru, which includes the top location of Clos Faubourg Notre-Dame, a very unique and distinguished single-plot vineyard. Today Veuve Fourny is run by Charles-Henry and Emmanuel Fourny, the 5th generation of the family to continue the work of growing and producing wines in Vertus. Their emphasis on Premier Cru vineyards, the family-run ethos, oak ageing of the base wines and the overall very high quality of the wines mark them out.
