Description
For something different, try this zesty, light-bodied, crisp dry Riesling with low alcohol at 11% from Australia’s sunny Eden Valley.
TASTING NOTE: This Eden Valley Riesling is a very pale yellow colour in the glass. On the nose: it’s light and aromatic on the nose, and brimming with lime, blossom, white peach, fresh green apples, and plenty of citrus peel aromas. On the palate: it’s sprightly and zesty, with high, refreshing acidity (we’d recommend not chilling it too cold which will exaggerate the acidity) and a dry, almost mineral or stony finish, with modest alcohol of 11%. There is more apple and citrus on the palate too. A long, fresh, invigorating dry white for Summer
FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: A great aperitif, and it’s bone dry, not sweet. Serve at around 7 or 8 degrees (we wouldn’t serve it cooler than this as the natural acidity will be refreshing enough). Pairing it with simple charcuterie and pate, fresh fruits/fruit desserts and different soft cheeses. You could also try it with light thai dishes, such as prawn and chilli with noodles, or a crab and chilli linguine, which would be delicious. Drink till the end of 2024
