How long we retain your data
For users who create an account on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information. We will automatically delete this account information if you have not interacted with us for one year (either logged in or purchased from us).
If you have bought wine from us we will store all relevant data for the order order itself a further 6 years after the last completed transaction, before anonymising this data, unless you specify otherwise. The exception to this is where we are obliged to keep or that it is necessary to keep data for ongoing administrative, legal, or security purposes.
If you leave a comment or a product review, the comment or review and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
The rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we amend or erase any personal data we hold about you. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if this is the case (you will be required to supply identification in order for us to process this request, and this may take up to 2 weeks to process in full), or if you would like to make a complaint regarding how we have processed your data. You may also update your marketing preferences to receive more personalised offers and communications, or click on ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of any marketing emails.
Please note that this does not include any data we are obliged to keep or that it is necessary to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
The personal data collected from you by The Little Fine Wine Company is for internal use and is kept on our website and servers. Unless required by law, or where necessary to establish or defend legal claims and uphold our, your or others’ legal rights, we will not share your personal data with any third parties. The exception to this is where data is shared with our email, financial and logistical service providers (our email marketing provider, our payment provider or courier company when arranging payment and delivery of your wine, and our storage provider for any under bond wine storage), as part of the usual email marketing, ordering and transactional processes for The Little Fine Wine Company. We may also use your personal data where your wine delivery requires additional insurance coverage or other such mitigation of business risk.
We will not sell nor share your personal data with any other third parties for any other reason whatsoever.
