Description
A bright and refreshing white wine made of 60% Semillon and 40% Sauvignon Blanc from producer Chateau Haut-Rian, using grapes from the Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux. Easily one of our favourite go-to white wines for all occasions.
TASTING NOTE: Soft golden straw colour. On the nose: vibrant fruit, such as lemon, white peach, and nectarine and white flowers On the palate: light bodied with a slight waxy character, some green pepper notes, with plenty more citrus fruit with a lovely creamy finish. 13% alcohol by volume.
FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: this wine is crisp, dry and to be drunk young. It would be best paired with simple dishes such as a fresh summer garden salad or fresh seafood, such as oysters, crab, or white fish. Enjoy now until summer 2026.
ABOUT: Settled in the medieval village of Rions, at the heart of Premières Côtes de Bordeaux. Château Haut-Rian is a beautiful, family-owned 85-hectare vineyard. Michel & Isabelle Dietrich decided to settle here 30 years ago after discovering the availability of high-quality and complex soils in the region. Along with their daughter Pauline who runs all day-to-day operations of the winery, the family have been growing and producing wines that are a true reflection of the Entre-Deux-Mers region.
