Description

A stunning example of prosecco, light, bubbly and beautifully balanced! Harvested from the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene (where Prosecco Superiore is from), north of Italy, during late September and early October. The Bisol family have been making wine for over five generations and their expertise over the time shines through in the wine.

TASTING NOTE: Clear and sparkling, its pale straw-yellow colour is enlivened by a prolonged effervescence of tiny bubbles. On the noseit captures hints of yellow apple and acacia flowers. On the palate, it is pure and dry, while its freshness bestows elegance and substance to the wine’s structure. The palate is crisp and lively, with refreshing citrus and subtle almond nuances that add depth. The fine, persistent bubbles provide a smooth texture, leading to a clean, dry finish with a touch of minerality. A stunning example of Prosecco, light, bubbly and balanced!

FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: A good Prosecco is surprisingly versatile, and this is excellent at either end of a meal, as an aperitif or for any celebration. This wine pairs perfectly with vegetable-based dishes, white meats and delicately flavoured cheese. Wonderful with fine fish dishes, such as sea bass and sea bream fillets. This is a wine that can brighten up any hour of the day. It is best served at a temperature of 5-7 degrees and is ready to drink now but will continue to drink well til end of 2025.

ABOUT: The Bisol family has shaped Ruggeri’s development over five generations, with roots tracing back to the 19th century when Eliseo Bisol and his son Luigi were pioneers in Valdobbiadene winemaking. The winery’s significant growth began in 1950 when Giustino Bisol, with his cousin, founded the current business and chose the name Ruggeri. The commitment to excellence continued with Giustino’s son, Paolo, and granddaughter Isabella.
