Description
Fresh, elegant and fruity white from Slovenia, using the French grape Chardonnay and the Italian speciality Ribolla Gialla (called Rebula in Slovenia). It’s easy to love, drinks well chilled in the heat and pleases a crowd, being refreshing and dry but not too austere.
The Gašper estate is a joint venture between a local co-operative and the hospitality/wine experts the Čarman family. The estate is in Goriška Brda, an area within Collio that stretches into Slovenia from Friuli Venezia Giulia, in northeast Italy. Rebula is the same as the Italian Ribolla Gialla grape. Unoaked, fresh, fruity with green apple, pear, peach and citrus. Not complex but refreshingly good, with a lovely silky texture. Now till mid 2027. 12.5% alcohol.
