Description

A deliciously toasty, flavourful Champagne from A.R. Lenoble, made from 20% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, and 40% Pinot Meunier that, while it might not be as famous as some Grande Marques Champagnes, easily competes with the big names. A great allrounder!

TASTING NOTE: Bright with a straw golden colour and a delicate mousse. On the nose: Very aromatic with lemon grass, fresh ginger, and some notes of lightly toasted brioche. On the palate: Following the aromas of the nose with a creamy mouthfeel that is balanced by the citrus acidity cleansing the palate, leaving you ready for the next sip. 12.5% alcohol by volume.

FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: This Champagne is best enjoyed as an aperitif with charcuterie or alongside chilled seafood dishes, such as scallop ceviche or a chilled prawn salad.

ABOUT: Founded in 1920 by Armand-Raphael Graser, a wine broker, after his family had fled Alsace during the war. He shifted his attention from broking towards producing his own wines. His Champagne’s name was changed from Graser to a less Germanic name, combining his initials A.R. with Lenoble. Now, the domaine is managed by sister and brother Anne and Antoine Malassagne, the 4th generation. They are hugely respected for the quality of their wines and their commitment to Organic growing and biodiversity in their vineyards
