Description

Chateau Gloria is a Bordeaux blend containing 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot.

TASTING NOTE: This Bordeaux blend is an attractive ruby and garnet colour in the glass, with some tertiary aromas on the nose as befitting a wine with some age…aromas such as tobacco, truffle, forest floor and herb notes, alongside red fruits. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and fresh acidity meshing together beautifully. It’s complex, balanced and has a lovely, mellow feel with complex herb, fruit and mineral flavours combining to give endless flavour on the finish. 13.5% alcohol.

FOOD PAIRING, SERVICE AND STORAGE: This full-bodied red wine pairs well with a variety of foods, including smoked duck, steak, prosciutto and blue cheeses. Drink now or cellar for another three years.

ABOUT: Chateau Gloria is a unique estate that was crafted by Henri Martin, grandson of a cellar master and son of a barrel cooper. Henri began purchasing several plots from the 1855 classified growths in the Medoc of Bordeaux. Today, Henri Martin’s daughter Francoise, her husband Jean-Louis Triaud, their two children Vanessa and Jean and their respective spouses Orphee and Caroline are very much involved in the Domaines, always looking to improve the results and maintain the wines to the highest standards of maintaining the history of the terroirs, the care and craftsmanship given during the growing season, and the attention in the cellar to showcase and highlight the quality of the wines produced by Chateau Gloria.
