Description
The main wine of Chateau Grand-Puy-Lacoste, in Pauillac. The Chateau has been owned by the Borie family since 1978 and has a history dating back to the 16th century. Today the Chateau is run by Francois Xavier Borie alongside his daughter Emeline and a dedicated vineyard and winemaking team.
TASTING NOTE: In the glass the wine is a deep ruby colour. The nose is filled with ripe red fruit, floral violet notes and spices from the barrel age. The palate has plenty of classic Bordeaux finesse, with well-structured tannins, toasted smoky notes, and potential for complexity.
FOOD PAIRING, SERVICE AND STORING: This is a wine that will drink well with decanting now, or benefit from time spent cellaring for up to 8-10 years if you can wait! 13.5%ABV
