Description
Refreshing, light, dry French Rose that is perfect for Summer, from the Cinsault, Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah grape varieties. It’s simple, delicious and extremely easy to drink, but still elegant and fine in texture. Made by the Perrin family, who also make Chateau Miraval Provence, they know a thing or two about great Rose! Lovely and fresh, and a good food-matching wine too.
TASTING NOTE: This Cotes du Rhone Rose has an attractive pink/peach colour. It’s bright and clear in colour and has the teeniest tiniest spritz, occurring naturally with the fermentation, which gives the wine an extremely refreshing nature and make it such a good wine for the warmer months. On the nose, there are notes of raspberry, grapefruit, pear and rose petals. The palate is similarly fruity, with fresh acidity and pretty pomegranate hints alongside the red berries. It’s light to medium in body, dry, crisp with a long, juicy finish. 13% alcohol.
FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: As with most Rhone and Provence Roses, it’s a versatile wine and can be drunk as an aperitif, with barbecue as well as being a good wine for simple fish dishes. The Perrin family recommend serving it with fresh melon salad, feta quinoa and pumpkin seeds, which sounds great to us! Drink now or keep till end 2026.
