With a delicate ruby colour in the glass, this Montepulciano has a nose of red fruit jams, like strawberry and cherry with notes of vanilla and cinnamon spice. The palate is fruity and juicy with plenty of those ripe fruit characteristics, and a soft tannic structure that helps to support this wine but at the same time gives a very smooth texture indeed. There is some sour cherry freshness on the finish which stops the wine from being heavy. It’s very moreish and enjoyable at just 13% ABV. Enjoy this now or till Winter 2023.
Jasci was established in the 1960s by Pasquale and Maria Jasci, in the Chieti province of the Abruzzo region, Italy. It is now the 3rd generation Donatello Jasci and his wife Piera who both oversee all aspects of the winery and continue the philosophy to produce the best quality wine from the region. As of 1980 though, the winery has moved to be certified Organic in both viticulture and winemaking practices, with a view to being as eco-friendly as possible to respect the land that provides them with so much in return.
