This Pinot Noir is full with a bright ruby colour in the glass and a rich nose with aromas of red fruits such as raspberry, red currants, and strawberry. On the palate, the wine is fruity with more of the red fruit characters followed by light tannins and a great elegant and refreshing finish. An incredibly versatile wine, this works as a refreshing pre-dinner wine or will compliment fried fish, poultry in a creamy sauce or hard cheese such as Comte superbly. Enjoy now or cellar for up to 5 years. 14% ABV.
Joseph Drouhin, a Chablis native, arrived in Beaune at the heart of Burgundy in 1880 and founded the winery and negotiant business which is now in the hands of his four great-grandchildren – Philippe, Veronique, Laurent and Frederic. It is believed the area around the town of Rully was cleared by a roman landowner called Rubilius who gave his name to the town which sprung up here.
