These world class wines are made by the Brajkovich family who have been making wines in their estate in Kumeu River for over seventy years. This wine and other Chardonnays from this top-notch estate have beaten top Burgundy Chardonnays in recent blind tastings line-ups. Michael Brajkovich MW and family make these iconic wines in an area just to the west of Auckland, New Zealand. They make single vineyard wines from each of their vineyards and also an estate blend from their six different sites. The Hunting Hill site was one of the first planted at the estate and produces wines of great concentration and notable steely minerality. If you like fresh, dry whites then this is certainly worth exploring. From the brilliant 2020 vintage this wine has been 100% barrel fermented in oak and is full of minerality, notes of marzipan and hazelnut sit alongside refreshing acidity leading to an elegant and rounded finish.
