Description
Made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes, this wine is fresh and fruity, whilst still maintaining a richness and minerality. The vineyards are located in central France, in the Loire Valley, where the clay and limestone soils contribute to a fine, well-balanced wine. Enjoy and savour this wine throughout the course of a meal, or simply drink on its own.
TASTING NOTE: A pale gold in colour. On the nose: this wine offers aromas of white fruit such as pear and apple. On the palate: it is rich and fleshy, yet still maintains a beautiful freshness. A pleasant minerality develops, and the aromas noted on the nose carry through to the palate. Expect a light fruitiness with a clean, elegant finish.
FOOD PAIRING, STORAGE AND SERVICE: This wine is highly versatile, so can be served from the beginning of a meal with starters to the cheese course at the end. It pairs beautifully with shellfish, seafood, and white meats. Try it with a creamy and comforting fish pie, or a zesty lemon orzo chicken. For a plant-based alternative, a spicy spinach, sweet potato and lentil dhal would work well. It also compliments refreshing deserts, such as blueberry cheesecake or just a simple fruit salad. Chill this wine to around 10 to 12 °C to preserve its flavours. Drink now or cellar for the up to 5 years.
ABOUT: The Dezat family’s routes in winemaking trace back as far as the 15th century. Today, the vineyard is run by siblings Arnaud and Stephanie Dezart. You may know that their father Andre Dezat made popular wines that were widely shipped from France to the UK; eventually the estate passed to his children, and then grandchildren who split the estate into two, of which Arnaud and Stephanie Dezat own one.
