Description
A smooth and elegant Pinot Noir brimming with strawberry and blackberry fruits, from Clive Paton and co at Ata Rangi. ‘Crimson’ refers to the colour of this Pinot Noir and to the red flower of the Rata tree, that Clive, (also a conservationist), helped protect, for which he also donates profits from his sales of this wine.
Ata Rangi was established in 1980 in Martinborough, on New Zealand’s North Island, when Clive Paton sold his dairy cows and planted vines. Joined by sister Alison, wife Phyll and winemaker Helen Masters, the team have a reputation for delicious Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It’s not easy to farm here as harvest yields are low, but there is plenty of sunshine to ripen the grapes and ocean breezes to give a lovely juicy freshness too. 13.5% ABV.
