Description
Chateau Gloria is a Bordeaux blend containing 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.
TATSTING NOTE: This Bordeaux blend is a deep rich ruby colour in the glass, with a lively and full nose filled with aromas of plum, black currant, dark cherry and cassis, with some dark chocolate and cigar box notes things off. The palate is rich and medium-bodied with firm tannins and plenty more dark chocolate and black fruit notes followed by some savoury dried herbs and a hint of liquorice from 14 months spent in French oak barrels, that lingers on the juicy long finish. 14% ABV
FOOD PAIRING, SERVICE AND STORAGE: This full-bodied red wine pairs well with a variety of foods, including smoked duck, steak, prosciutto and blue cheeses. Drink now or cellar for another three years.
ABOUT: Chateau Gloria is a unique estate that was crafted by Henri Martin, grandson of a cellar master and son of a barrel cooper. Henri began purchasing several plots from the 1855 classified growths in the Medoc of Bordeaux. Today, Henri Martin’s daughter Francoise, her husband Jean-Louis Triaud, their two children Vanessa and Jean and their respective spouses Orphee and Caroline are very much involved in the Domaines, always looking to improve the results and maintain the wines to the highest standards of maintaining the history of the terroirs, the care and craftsmanship given during the growing season, and the attention in the cellar to showcase and highlight the quality of the wines produced by Chateau Gloria.
