Description
This 100% Pinot Noir is from Cristom, in the Willamette Valley, Oregon. We love these wines for the array of aromas and flavours that are endlessly fascinating to sniff, smell and savour over time!
TASTING NOTE: Rich ruby colour. On the nose: Lots of red fruit character, and very floral. On the palate: It’s elegant, and light to medium bodied with smooth tannin and masses of fruit intensity, trademark red and black fruits with a spicy, herby overlay that results in a particularly complex finish. 14% alcohol by volume.
FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: This wine is a great match to pair alongside harissa roasted beetroot and butternut squash salad with arugula and goat cheese. Drink now till 2027.
ABOUT: Named after Marjorie Gerrie, founder Paul Gerrie’s mother. This vineyard site is arguably the best Pinot Noir of the single vineyards produced by Cristom. Cristom Vineyards located in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, was founded by Paul and Eileen Gerrie in 1992 and they are now producing some of the most sought-after Pinot Noirs coming out of the USA. The wines from these vineyards particularly offer a fragrant style from the Eola-Amity Hills in the Willamette Valley of Oregon.
