Description

This Reserva has been produced using hand-picked grapes only from CVNE’s vineyards located in Rioja Alta. This blend of Tempranillo (85%), and Garnacha and Mazuelo (15%) it’s loaded with plenty of red fruits and liquorice with an underlying rich vanilla-spiced character.

TASTING NOTE: A deep ruby red colour. On the nose: A youthful character of strawberry, raspberry and plum aromas, balancing the more developed notes of forest fruit, liquorice and balsamic from ageing in oak barrels. On the palate: More ripe red fruits, with cranberry accompanied by some earthy notes, and vanilla. It has smooth well-integrated tannins providing a good structure. It’s juicy and fruity, with a medium to long berry finish. The alcohol is generous at 14% but is very well-balanced with the rest of the wine

FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: This wine is easy to drink on its own, a would benefit from a quick decanting if desired, but is also easily enjoyed with food. This wine would match perfectly with roast lamb or mushroom dishes. Drink now till 2028.
