Description

A rich and full-bodied Shiraz from 100-year-old vines in the Barossa Valley. This wine, produced by Dandelion Vineyards, is a food-friendly wine that would be perfect for grilled meats, and vegetables.

TASTING NOTE: Deep rich velvety purple. On the nose: Aromas of plum and plenty of blackberry fruits with spices such as clove, and cinnamon with a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate: It’s full-bodied with rich and silky fine tannins, with more notes of ripe plum, berries, and black currants. The medium acidity lingers adding a freshness to the wine providing balance to the hearty, generous palate. 14.5% alcohol by volume.

FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: This is a full-bodied Shiraz that would pair wonderfully with a hearty beef or lamb stew, or with roasted vegetables, lentils and a cider vinaigrette. If possible, decant for at least 30 minutes before serving. Can be cellared until the end of 2026.

ABOUT: Dandelion Vineyards was founded by Elena Brooks and her husband Zar. They are a talented winemaking duo located in the Mclaren Vale. After studying and working abroad, Elena and Zar settled in the Mclaren and began to craft superb wines from Riesling, Shiraz and Chardonnay grapes. The winery has a unique style as they work with vineyards and winemakers from across Australia to buy batches of grapes from small plots of vineyards, to make a beautiful blend. It’s a boutique approach to winemaking!
