This Barossa Valley Shiraz is a deep rich velvety purple in the glass. The nose is filled with aromas of plum and plenty of black berry fruits with spices such as clove, and cinnamon with a hint of dark chocolate. The palate is full bodied with rich and silky fine tannins. This leads the fruit nicely along with more notes of ripe plum, berries, and black currants. The medium acidity lingers in the back adding a freshness to the wine providing balance to the hearty, generous palate and 14.5% alcohol. A lovely smooth red for winter! 14.5%.
Dandelion Vineyards was founded by Elena Brooks and her husband Zar. They are a talented winemaking duo located in the Mclaren Vale. After studying and working abroad, Elena and Zar settled in the Mclaren and began to craft superb wines from Riesling, Shiraz and Chardonnay grapes. The winery has a unique style as they work with vineyards and winemakers from across Australia to buy batches of grapes from small plots of vineyards, to make a beautiful blend. It’s a boutique approach to winemaking!
