Description
Les Gollardes originates from 40-year-old vines where the location of the 0.8 hectare plot gives lovely mineral notes and prominent red fruit characteristics typical of Pinot Noir with 13% alcohol. The grapes are hand harvested to ensure excellent quality control. Depending on the vintage the wine is aged between 12 to 18 months in barrel.
PAIRING AND SERVING IDEAS: This would pair well with game birds, in particular roast duck is a classic pairing to match the vibrant red fruit and crisp acidity to cut through the fat of the duck. It has the ageing potential of 3 to 5 years.
