Description

This zesty Sauvignon Blanc has attractive aromas of melon, pear and rhubarb with a crisp and refreshing palate including the signature aromatic notes of gooseberry and honey alongside the herbaceous character of bell pepper. An exceptionally diverse food wine and also represents excellent value for money when looking to explore this famous region.

The Sautereau family has been making wine for ten generations using grapes from 22 hectares of vines based mainly in the village of Crézancy – 4 miles West of Sancerre. David Sautereau made this wine using a blend of new and old techniques to show the grapes at their best. He pursued studies in wine and gained experience in winemaking all over the world before making his first vintage at the estate. The Sancerre region is situated 2 hours South of Paris in the ‘Central Vineyards’ area of the Loire Valley in the East of the region. This can be paired with a wide variety of cuisine and matches particularly well with goats’ cheese from the local area as well as summery salads and green pepper dishes. 12.5% ABV.
