Tasting notes and a guided online tasting hosted by our Founder and Master of Wine, Vicki, will accompany this selection, bringing you the lowdown to the region and these famous producers.
APRIL SELECTION: NORTHEAST ITALY (LOMBARDY & VENETO). Explore the famous vineyards of Lombardy and Veneto with four benchmark wines: the Pieropan family’s benchmark, refreshing Soave Classico from hillsides near Verona. Brolettino, a fine, apricot-scented white from Ca’ dei Frati, the leading estate of Lugana on the banks of Lake Garda. Ca Rugate’s juicy Valpolicella, the perfect light, fruity red, and to compare with it, Tommasi’s rich, complex, full-bodied Amarone. All four halves from the famous vineyards surrounding Verona in Northeast Italy, this case gets to the heart of what makes wines here so popular.
