This delicious Chassagne-Montrachet red wine is produced from a dozen plots of vines, located on the lower slopes of the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, with north-easterly to south-westerly exposure to the sun. As with most red Burgundy, it is made from 100% Pinot Noir, with an expressive nose of cassis and plum, with savoury thyme and rosemary. The palate is refreshing with juicy blackberries, raspberry, and a delicate oak influence rounding off the finish. This style of wine pairs wonderfully with grilled game meats such as duck with a seasonal fruit-based sauce to pair alongside it. Enjoy now till the end of 2023. 13%ABV
With a history that goes back to 1920, the Amiot family has been rooted in the Chassagne-Montrachet landscape for three generations. The founders were Flavie and Arsene, who passed the reins down to their son Pierre, and then to their grandson Guy Amiot. Today, it is in the hands of the two brothers, winemaker Thierry, and Fabrice, the brand developer, to carry on the tradition that has been left before them, alongside Heloise, Thierry’s daughter, who also is involved in the winery operations, as they write the next chapter in the story of the Amiot family.
