Description
This is a classic and delicious representation of Burgundy Chardonnay from producer Joseph Drouhin. An exceptional wine for the table that will go with a variety of dishes as well as a great introduction to the region and what wines from Burgundy can offer.
TASTING NOTE: Delicate golden colour. On the nose: Fresh bouquet of honeysuckle, sweet lemon curd, and butter biscuits. On the palate: it’s medium-bodied with fresh acidity, flavours of wildflower honey, lightly smoked almonds and a buttered toast finish. 13% alcohol.
FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: We think this is a great introduction to Burgundian Chardonnay and would recommend trying it alongside roast white meat, creamy mushrooms, or white fish dishes. Enjoy now until 2026.
ABOUT: Joseph Drouhin, a Chablis native, arrived in Beaune, the heart of Burgundy in 1880 and founded the winery and negociant business which is now in the hands of his four great-grandchildren, Philippe, Veronique, Laurent and Frederic who each play a different role in helping to grow the family wine companies in Burgundy and USA. With almost 200 acres of vines in Burgundy, they organically farm their own vineyards and purchase grapes from leading growers in the Burgundy region.
