Description

This is a wine of great finesse, distinguished and elegant produced by Joseph Drouhin from vines in the middle of the Cote de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet. A region made famous for its great wines and considered some of the best in the world!

TASTING NOTE: Bright in the glass with a soft gold straw colour. On the nose: It’s elegant with aromas of white peaches, fresh white flowers, and a slight almond note. On the palate: It has a medium-bodied that’s soft and silky with similar floral notes and a dried apricot fruitiness that carries into the long finish, with the classic Burgundy toasty note and balance.13.5% alcohol by volume.

FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: Wines from this region work very well with seafood and fresh spring vegetables as well as help to cut through rich sauces. Try with a fresh pea risotto or with a coconut crab curry. Drink now or hold until winter 2025.

ABOUT: Joseph Drouhin, a Chablis native, arrived in Beaune, the heart of Burgundy in 1880 and founded the winery and negotiant business which is now in the hands of his four great-grandchildren – Philippe, Veronique, Laurent and Frederic who each play a different role in helping to grow the family wine companies in Burgundy and USA. With almost 200 acres of vines in Burgundy, they organically farm their own vineyards and purchase grapes from leading growers in the Burgundy region.
