Description

In our humble opinion, Rully offers some of the best value wines to be found within Burgundy. Producing both red and white wine from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay respectively, Rully is located in the middle of the Burgundy region in the Cote Chalonnaise near the town of Mercurey. This Rully rouge is vibrant with raspberry and currents followed by elegant tannins and a long tangy finish. Enjoy now or cellar for up to 5 years. 13.5% ABV.

Joseph Drouhin, a Chablis native, arrived in Beaune at the heart of Burgundy in 1880 and founded the winery and negotiant business which is now in the hands of his four great-grandchildren – Philippe, Veronique, Laurent and Frederic. It is believed the area around the town of Rully was cleared by a roman landowner called Rubilius who gave his name to the town which sprung up here.
