This fresh sparkling made from Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco is handcrafted from grapes from 134 vineyards. Maurizio Zanella moved to the Franciacorta are of Lombardy, Italy in the 1960’s as a fifteen year old boy and felt enticed by the wines and the region.  After a trip to Champagne years later he returned inspired and with a mission to convert his childhood wooden house (Ca del’ bosc) into the leading winery it is today. A perfect aperitif but its light and delicate flavours would match very well with a seafood selection or soft cheeses.

Technical Details

This wine is a blend of Chardonnay (75%), Pinot Nero (15%) and Pinot Bianco (10%). The handpicked grapes from 134 vineyards were vinified individually with reserves of the best vintages (at least 20%) going into the Cuvée Prestige blend. The grapes were chilled before whole-bunch pressing. The wine spent 28 months on yeasts before being ready for disgorgement in the absence of oxygen (a system patented by Ca'del Bosco) – this avoids the need for additional sulphites. The residual sugar is 4g/L.
