Description
La Guita Manzanilla is a popular Spanish wine that comes from other coastal town of Sanlucar de Barrameda. This wine is made from Palomino Fino and for five years under a layer of “flor” which gives the sherry  a light, straw yellow colour.
TASTING NOTE: This dry Sherry made from 100% Palomino grapes opens with a very crisp and fresh nose, followed by the classic green apple aroma and the salty notes of Manzanilla. The palate is concentrated and dry, but very refreshing and savoury, with notes of almonds, apple and white peach followed by a long, satisfying finish.15% ABV
FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: Manzanilla, like Fino sherry, is pale, light, dry and tangy style of sherry usually drunk well chilled as an aperitif.. Serve cold and from the fridge and pair with olives or salted almonds.
ABOUT: La Guita dates back to 1852 when Domingo Perez Marin founded the winery in the small town of Sanlucar de Barrameda in Spain. The vineyards of Sanlucar de Barrameda located in the Southwest of Spain are a very popular and historic site that date back to the Roman era, and the location where Columbus set sail. These vineyards are known for their Albariza Superior soils, which are considered the highest quality of soils by the DO Sherry Regulatory Board, giving the wines a superb salty brine quality that is so desirable in these wines.
