Description
This delicious alcohol-free fizz is made from the Riesling grape by the wonderful Rheingau producer Leitz who is renowned as one of Germany’s top producers.
TASTING NOTE: light straw colour in the glass with a nice bubble. On the nose: This Sparkling boasts a fresh floral character with tons of citrus, apple and spice. On the palate: There is a delicious touch of sweetness here, but the bubbles mean that it appears drier than it is and the lovely lime acidity cuts through it too. 0% alcohol by volume.
FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: It’s a great alternative to Champagne or other sparklers for an alcohol-free treat or celebration. It could be enjoyed with a range of seafood dishes or salads or would be entirely quaffable on its own without food.
ABOUT: The Leitz family have been making wine here since 1744 and Johannes Leitz has grown the winery considerably over the past four decades. He has always put producing wines with great freshness and top quality as his priority and this alcohol-free wine is no exception. A vacuum distillation system has been used under a low pressure to remove the alcohol from this wine without sacrificing any of the natural Riesling flavour.
