Premium and pioneering sparkling made from 51% Chardonnay, 36% Pinot noir, and 13% Pinot Meunier, from one of the UK’s leading producers based out of West Sussex, Nyetimber. with a beautiful fine mousse and filled with a rich brioche character.
TASTING NOTE: A beautiful light gold hue in the glass with very fine bubbles. On the nose: Filled with citrus fruit and red berry aromas such as raspberries along with a perfect brioche and pastry character. On the palate: It is medium-bodied, with medium acidity plus a rounded and rich feel that has plenty of benchmark freshness, however.12% alcohol by volume.
FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: This sparkling is a perfect match with freshly caught seafood, enjoy it with oysters, crab, or seared scallops. For a vegetarian option try this with a squash and ricotta ravioli in a silky white wine butter sauce. This sparkling is best enjoyed chilled, it’s ready to drink now and will continue to drink wonderfully till the end of 2024.
ABOUT: Nyetimber is owned by Eric and Hannah Heerema, although it was Stuart and Sandy Moss who owned the estate and first planted the vineyards in 1988 (the estate is historically significant, featuring in the Domesday Book in 1086 as Nitimbreha). They are a leading English Sparkling wine producer based north of Brighton near Pulborough in West Sussex. Cherie Spriggs and Brad Greatrix, a Canadian couple, make the wines solely from estate vineyards. The award-winning wines can easily compete with some of the best Champagnes!
