Description
A multi-vintage Champagne from one of the oldest houses in the town of Reims. This is a true classic, with an elegant bouquet and rich creamy notes across the palate. The reference to 245 is the number of blends they have made since their foundation in 1776. It’s 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot noir and 25% Meunier.
ABOUT: Louis Roederer is a Champagne house who have been making great Champagne since 1776 and are based in Reims. The business is still family-owned; Frederic Rouzaud currently manages it with Jean-Baptiste Lecaillon managing the vineyards and making the wines. They are well respected for making delicious Champagnes, including a collaboration with Philippe Starck which is one to look out for, but also for biodynamic farming across their 240 hectares, eschewing the use of chemicals in the vineyards and winery as much as possible.
