Travel through a fine wine region or style each month with these half bottles, by producers who have forged the vinous way to our hearts. Delicious wines, often made in relatively limited quantities, that really show what the particular region or style is about. The wines can be white, red or a mix depending on the region. Electronic tasting notes and guided, online tastings (a mix of live and recorded tastings) are included, all hosted by our Director and Master of Wine, Vicki. The tasting this month is Wednesday 17th April.
APRIL SELECTION: The Loire Valley
Firstly, we’re very pleased to have Marc Bredif Brut Sparkling, from one of our favourite Loire producers. This sparkling is filled with rich apple and citrus fruits followed by a hint of buttery brioche across the palate. Then we’re off to Menetou-Salon to Domaine Jean Teiller for their fresh and juicy Menetou-Salon Blanc 2022. Next, the Chateau de Tracy Pouilly Fume, a benchmark style that is very food-friendly. Lastly, we head to Saumur, for Domaine Filliatreau’s elegant red Saumur Champigny.
