Weingut Selbach-Oster is a family-owned winery situated in the renowned Moselle region of Germany, one of the country’s premier wine-growing areas. With a history spanning over 400 years, the family has been crafting exceptional Riesling wines since the 18th century. Today, Barbara and Johannes Selbach continue the tradition, overseeing the winery and its operations.
TASTING NOTE: The Weingut Selbach-Oster Riesling Trocken is a crisp and refreshing white wine, offering a harmonious balance of sweetness and acidity. Its aromatic bouquet features vibrant notes of lime, passionfruit, and stone fruit. On the palate, it is dry and crisp, with flavours of green apple, citrus, and a touch of minerality. The result is a Riesling with harmonious interaction between acidity, minimality and fruit. 11.5% alcohol.
FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: This riesling pairs perfectly with oily fish, spicy seafood or veggie curries or seafood dishes. Serve around 8-10 degrees.
ABOUT: One of Austria’s most renowned grape growers, the estate is situated on the River Mosel and has been growing Riesling for 400 years. These grapes are grown on the steep slate slopes of the Mosel river valley.
