Description
This wine is a great example of Macon, very easy to drink with lovely stone fruit flavours, and also makes a superb introduction to the wines of south Burgundy for those just getting into this region.
TASTING NOTE: It is a versatile and food-friendly wine with beautiful fresh citrus fruit including apple and lemon accompanied by a delicate floral character. 12.5% ABV.
FOOD PAIRING, SERVICES AND STORING: With its fresh and vibrant palate this pairs very well with Goat’s cheese, many different fried foods – fish and chips in particular and chicken-based dishes. Drink now or over the next 3 to 5 years.
ABOUT: Les Cave des Vignerons des Terres Secretes are the only cooperative wine cellar based in the greater Vergisson area within the Macconais region of southern Burgundy. Named after the ‘Secret Lands’ from which the grapes for this wine were grown and with the town of Chardonnay found nearby, this is a great example of what its namesakes’ grape is all about.
