Description
This Red Claw Chardonnay from the Mornington Peninsula of Victoria, Australia is a bright, juicy, and expressive style of wine made for summer drinking. Perfect with food or by itself on the patio.
TASTING NOTE: Pale straw colour. On the nose: Aromas of citrus, such as lemon and grapefruit with stone fruits and a hint of white pepper spicy from 6 months in French oak. On the palate: Medium bodied with lovely fruit notes such as white peach, more grapefruit and a hint of creaminess from the lees ageing, all balanced with bright acidity and a long complex finish. 13.5% alcohol by volume.
FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: Try this wine with fish pie, shellfish, spinach pie or dishes which incorporate a creamy element, such as creamy sauteed wild mushrooms on grilled sourdough toast. Enjoy now or keep until 2026.
