Whispering Angel Wine
Whispering Angel is a brand of wine that comes from vineyards in the vicinity of the Esclans Valley and is known as today’s worldwide reference for Provence Rose. Made from Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle grapes, it was created by Sasha Linchine, and not only has it been delicious, but it has also made waves commercially as the vineyards and businesses were recently bought by Louis Vuitton. The name ‘Whispering Angel’ derives from the cherubs painted on the roof of their chapel, which are said to be whispering to each other

Whispering Angel Wines
Whispering Angel is known as one of the most popular rose brands worldwide. Here, we will look at the two most recent additions to the Whispering Angel collection and what makes them so impressive.
The Whispering Angel 2022 rose stands out with its vibrant pale pink hue and a delightful blend of fresh red fruit notes, including strawberry, cranberry, and raspberry. The palate offers a light, refreshing experience with a crisp, bright taste and balanced acidity. It further unfolds with the flavours of red berries and pink grapefruit citrus, culminating in a long, lingering, and smooth finish.
The most recent 2023 is quite similar to the 2022 iteration, described as deliciously creamy and smooth, sensational and stunningly balanced. This wine offers the same features and tastes as the 2022 rose, yet perhaps with more floral hints than the older versions. This wine is perfect for a chilled summer afternoon or a perfect match with white fish, such as sushi, or summer-based desserts, such as Victoria Sponge.
Whispering Angel Heritage
Whispering Angel is one of the several Roses crafted by Sacha Lichine at Chateau d’Esclans, a renowned winery in the heart of Provence. Sacha Lichine's acquisition of the Chateau in 2006 marked the beginning of a vision to create the world's finest Roses, sparking a ‘rose renaissance’. Now in its sixteenth vintage, the Chateau remains the home and birthplace of Whispering Angel, a testament to the brand's rich history and commitment to quality.
Today, there are 108 acres of vineyards, with the total property having 659 acres altogether. The Chateau is known for its old Grenache vines, which produce grapes that have greater flavours than younger vines, with these older wines being as old as 90 years old.
Whispering Angel is a huge world-renowned brand that is immensely popular; the wine is made from high-quality grapes grown in some of the best vineyards in Provence. They also utilise some of the best traditional winemaking techniques that emphasise the natural flavours of the grapes, allowing for a huge amount of flavours and tastes in the wines. Finally, the wine has received constant awards and high marks from reputable critics.
