Description

Lyrarakis is in the mountain commune of Alagni (440 metres altitude), south of the city of Heraklion, in Crete. Vidiano is not the widest planted grape in Crete (that’s Vilana) but for quality, it’s the highest regarded. This is crisp, dry and refreshing, with aromas of lemon and herbs when very cold. As it warms in the glass, notice the fruitier characters, and the rounder feel on the palate. You’ll then discern an attractive aroma of apricot and citrus, riper fruit and good minerality. There is no oak at all in the winemaking, instead the emphasis is on elegant, fresh fruit flavours. Now till end 2027. 13% alcohol.
