Description
A juicy, easy-to-drink bordeaux that is supple, ready now and pairs easily with lots of food.
TASTING NOTE: In the glass, Chateau Reynier’s Bordeaux Superieur has a deep, ruby colour with garnet round the edge denoting a few years of age. On the nose: this wine has aromas of ripe red and dark fruits, such as strawberry, blackcurrant and plum, complemented by subtle notes of leather, green olive, tobacco and clove/spice. On the palate: it is medium in body, with velvety tannins and well-integrated acidity, plus moderate alcohol of 12.5%. It’s open and expressive, not for long ageing but so easy to enjoy now, soft and ready to drink at any time!
FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: This Bordeaux is soft and supple, and ready to drink. It works well to sip over an evening or as a casual midweek drink, but is a versatile food match, not being overly tannic or full-bodied. It’s ideal match for rich, savoury dishes such as roasted lamb or beef, and would work well with a charcuterie board or pasta dish too, or meatier fish. For the end of the meal it would work well with mild cheddars or young comte. And for a vegetarian dish, try stuffed mushrooms, mushroom pie or an array of root vegetable mains. It really is very versatile! Drink now or till end of 2025.
