The Bousquet family have successfully made wine in the Carcassonne area of Southern France for four generations but in the late 1990’s they began a new venture here in the high altitude vineyards of the Uco Valley, Argentina. At 4000 feet, they own one of the highest altitude vineyards in Argentina and the world. Here the Bousquet family find they have ideal grape growing conditions and all their grapes are organically grown. Meticulous care is also taken in the winery ensuring that the natural flavours in the wine best express themselves. Domaine Bousquet are now one of the leading producers of Organic Argentinian wines. 14% ABV.

Who makes this wine and where is it made?

The grapes are picked from vineyards in Tupungato, Alto Gualtallary in the Uco Valley of Argentina next to the foothills of the Andes mountains at 4000 ft. Made by the Bosquet family who have been making wines in the Carcasonne area of France for four generations. Their new venture began in the 1990's in this high altitude area where grapes were not previously grown. It is now seen as a region producing some of Argentina's finest wines.

Tasting notes

Loaded with black plum and berries with hints of fine vanilla and spice. Elegant, medium-bodied with velvety and rounded tannins.

Technical Details

This wine is 100% Malbec. Residual sugar is 1.6g/L The grapes are handpicked. Fermentation takes place with selected yeast at 27°C for 12 days.
