ABOUT: Zar and Elena Brooks, of Dandelion Vineyards (see our delicious Shiraz and Riesling for more of their wines), founded Heirloom Vineyards in order to make wines from a selection of their very best grapes. This wine is from hand-tended vines, grapes that were sorted bunch-by-bunch at harvest-time, and the resulting wine that was naturally open fermented with 50% whole bunch grapes, to give a lovely complex aroma and lift. It was then basket-pressed and aged in well seasoned first-use French oak barriques from bespoke coopers for 7 months.
