Description
From a top Burgundy producer, Joseph Faiveley. Comprising of 100% Chardonnay grapes picked from several of Faiveley’s vineyards, as well as their partner estates throughout Burgundy, this is excellent value for money and a great representation of the Burgundy region!
TASTING NOTE: Brilliant pale green and yellow hue. On the nose: Notes of white flowers including jasmine and orange blossom, this is a bold and generous wine. On the palate: Well balanced with a medium body and full of flavours of lemon and honeysuckle that are supported with subtle rich buttery notes, which pleasantly draw out the finish.
FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: We think this is a superb value introduction to Burgundian Chardonnay and would recommend trying it alongside a poultry dish, or white fish dishes.
ABOUT: Domaine Faiveley was founded in 1825 by Pierre Faiveley and having remained in the family for seven generations is now managed by Brother and sister, Erwan and Eve Faiveley, the youngest generation of Faiveley’s to manage the estate (of a 200-year dynasty), aided by winemaker Jerome Flous. The estate comprises vineyards in many of the most prestigious appellations throughout Burgundy and with an uncompromising focus on quality, they are ensuring the families’ heritage and traditions continue to be instilled within their wines.
