Description
Rumor is a top-quality Provence rosé that has already made a name for itself by being listed in some of the world’s fine dining restaurants from Monaco to Miami to London! Organic certified, the wine is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Tibouren grown on limestone soils in the foothills of the Massif des Maures (some 30km west of Saint-Tropez).
TASTING NOTE: Pale pink in colour. It’s complex with orchard fruits, spice, acacia, peach, white flowers, citrus and red fruit notes on the nose. The palate is smooth and elegant, with lovely citrus, light honey, apple, cranberry and raspberry notes. It’s crisp, long, dry and refreshing on the finish, and is a brilliant food wine too.
FOOD PAIRING, STORING AND SERVICE: Best served chilled, between 6°C-8°C. It matches a variety of foods, including grilled fish, Mediterranean platters, light pastas, sushi and shellfish. Drink now or keep till Spring 2025.
ABOUT: Rumor is a relatively new Provence Rose that has already made a splash. It’s made by winemaker Pierre Guerin in conjunction with Barry Bayat, an ex financier who established his wine business in 2019. Vineyards are based in the core appellation of Cotes de Provence, on rock, clay, and limestone-based soil, which provide a dry, well-drained environment, allowing the grapes to develop maximum phenolic ripeness, while maintaining freshness from the coastal breezes of Provence.
